PRESS RELEASE: "40 Words for Bright Futures" has launched!

40 Words for Bright Futures™ — Building the Next Generation of STEAM Leaders

In today’s global economy, every young person needs to be comfortable and confident in at least two languages. At the same time, the demand for professionals in STEAM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) continues to grow at full speed.

40 Words for Bright Futures™ meets youth exactly where they are — on their phones — and introduces them to the language of opportunity.

This innovative, multigenerational project invites STEAM professionals to contribute 40 foundational words that represent the core vocabulary of their careers. These words become the building blocks for a bilingual (English & Spanish) mobile app designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and career exploration at an early age.

Why English and Spanish?

Because together, they represent the most widely spoken native languages among America’s young people. In a global economy, bilingual exposure isn’t optional — it’s essential.

This is an evergreen initiative of the Teach Preparedness Early Project, powered by the Preparedness AD Council, a division of WePrepare.Us™.

Once words are submitted, we take a consensus of all contributions and select the most frequently recommended terms to form the final 40 Words. These words are then developed into a free bilingual learning app for youth under 18 (with parental permission).

This is more than an app.
It’s a new frontier in the preparedness industry.
It’s workforce readiness.
It’s preparedness equity.

And it’s FUN. 🎉

📌 Important Notes

We are not a nonprofit. The Google Translator API which is used in every app, is not FREE. However, we want to keep our apps FREE for youth, so we are relying on your sponsor support.
